Artist Statement
My oil/mixed media paintings reflect my involvement with
the process of making art. I am not concerned with rendering what I see, but
am challenged to express my response to selected images.
Specifically, the rural landscape of PA's Endless Mts. provide inspiration.
I try to transform this landscape into images that satisfy my fascination
with the pairing of linear and organic form. However, it is the use of
color that is a decisive and constant voice in my work. It is color that above all delights
and motivates me to continue.
