Artist Statement
I carve richly grained, exotic woods, using the figure to
address states of quiet contemplation and serenity. There is a strong
feeling of intereior strength and sensuality in my work.
I am influenced by the heroic stillness of the Egyptian genre and the smooth flowing forms of Brancusi.
